Lynn grew up to the sweet sounds of ABBA and has been a fan all her life. She has never had to pick up a lyric sheet as she knows all the words to their top hits. Lynn has been entertaining audiences on stage for many years. Her original music has received airplay and rave reviews worldwide and she has toured with her music relentlessly. She is an entertainer who captivates audiences every time she steps onto a stage.
Brett McMillan as Benny Andersson
"I am an Ex-Patriot Aussie who has performed almost all styles of music, from Light Opera to hard rock as well as Dinner theatre and Musical Theatre. I have performed in Australia, New Zealand and Canada and have also toured extensively throughout Australia and New Zealand in Tribute Shows. I am also an Impersonator of Elvis, Billy Connolly, Liberace, Tom Jones, Beetlejuice, and most recently as Austin Powers at Australia's premier Movie based Theme park Warner Brothers Movieworld. I also worked in one of the affiliated parks "Paradise Country" which was an "authentic Aussie farm experience" In that job I was one of the resident singers and performed mostly country and Australian music.
I worked for almost 10 years in a Theatre Restaurant in Brisbane where we nightly performed song, dance comedy and magic. I was also the host of that show for most of my 10 year tenure. I have worked in Clubs and RSL's throughout Australia and New Zealand in Duo's, Trio's Quartets and Showbands as well as Roving Characters. I can sing just about anything, and I also have a knack for mimicry. I feel that if you are going to cover other peoples songs, you will be singing someones favourite song, so sing it how they like to hear it.
Having said that, I love taking a song and making it my own. I love the classics, Elvis, Tom Jones, Roy Orbison, Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Manhattan Transfer, Chicago, Blood Sweat and Tears, Doobie Brothers etc. I also enjoy Robbie Williams ("Swing When You're Winning" and the others). Being Australian I also enjoy the Australians. Little River Band, Cold Chisel, INXS (the REAL INXS!!!), John Farnham. I also have found a new appreciation for country (Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson etc) I also feel that Harmonies are important.
I think a band sounds so much better when there is at least 3 part harmonies." Portraying the role as our Benny, Brett, in real life, is married to Sheryl, who plays our Anni-Frid. Brett also has tributes to Tom Jones, Elvis and many others available... Just tell him w ho you want him to be, and chances are, he can do it!!!
Sheryl McMillan as Anni-Frid (Frida) Lynstad
Sheryl is the real-life wife of our Benny, Brett Mcmillan, just like ABBA was. As well, just like Frida, Sheryl is a dancer. A strong performer, Sheryl brings with her a theatrical/live performance background (Does anyone remember Maz and Mes?) that makes her a welcome strong addition to the show. Sheryl is absolutely captivating on and off stage, and you will be mesmerized by her enchanting vocals.
Kevin D as Bjorn Ulvaeus
Kevin D or should I say Bjorn… Has been an Abba fan since his grandmother bought him his first Abba album (remember them!?) when he was 9 years old. Kevin was born in a small town near the BC Rockies, and grew up listening to all kinds of music from old Country to Hard rock, and has been singing at family gatherings as long as he can remember. Family and career choices have been an important part of his life but left little time to really pursue a passion that had been suppressed for years.
If you ask any of Kevin’s friends about him, they would most likely say he is a very focused and Driven person, when it is something he believes in, he gives it 120%. In the last few years, Kevin has found the time to get out and sing more, he was a competitor it the BC talent search (BC country Idol) and in 2006 he went all the way to the final 6 of 2500 singers and in the end declared runner up 2nd place. He also won the Skajit Valley Country Idol in Bellingham Wa. USA. Kevin has played with or backed up numerous bands, and has shared the stage with a few Greats like Leanne Rhymes, Chillawack,Tom Cochran, Appaloosa, Ken McCoy and lots of other local musicians.
Kevin loves to sing Harmonies, that is what makes him a great fit in this talented bunch of performers “Abba Again”. So between 3 awesome Kids, A fulltime Business, his Country Band “Rawhide” and Abba Again… keep your eye’s open , if you're out haven a good time you might be hangin' out or listening to Kevin D.
